Camp Sessions

Ages: 8-15 years old
Cost: $265 | Early Bird $250 (deadline - April 18)

What to bring | Certified lacrosse helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, mouth guard, protective cup, outdoor cleats, lacrosse stick, and goalie equipment (for goalies only). Full concessions will be available (pizza, chips, drinks, etc.), or bring a bag lunch and water bottle.

Camp Description 
This camp will focus on player development in the necessary skills and fundamentals required for success in the game of lacrosse. Campers range in age from 8-15 years-old. Each day, the Good Counsel coaching staff will teach and guide the campers through various fundamental skill sessions leading up to eventual camp competitions and game play. Skills sessions will be aided by Good Counsel Varsity lacrosse players and NCAA lacrosse alumni players. Guest speakers and demonstrations will be given by current and former NCAA Division I players.


Matt Durkin enters into his 11th year as Head Coach of the Falcon Boys Lacrosse program. Many of Coach DurkinÃ????Ã???Ã??Ã?¢??s players have gone on to compete at the highest levels of Division I, II and III NCAA Lacrosse. Over 20 Falcon lacrosse alumni are currently playing NCAA lacrosse, with 10 graduates playing for United States Service Academies, and 2 players winning NCAA National Championships at Loyola University and Stevenson University. He employs a philosophy of having fun with the game through hard work, a commitment to following through with oneÃ????Ã???Ã??Ã?¢??s goals, being a team player and always having passion in oneÃ????Ã???Ã??Ã?¢??s endeavors. Coach Durkin played Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia for 4 years, and captained the Hawks program in his junior and senior years.

Involved in lacrosse as a player and coach for 25 years, Coach Durkin has worked and coached in many lacrosse formats. He earned Gazette Coach of the Year in 2011 and was nominated WCAC Coach of the Year in 2015. He has held an assistant position at the Division I collegiate level, was a varsity assistant in the WCAC for two years prior to GC and a three-time assistant coach with the Washington DC Under Armour All American team (most recently in 2014).
