Cost: $265 | Early Bird registration $250 (deadline April 18)

What to bring | Be dressed in t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers. Full concessions will be available (pizza, chips, drinks, etc.), or bring a bag lunch and water bottle.

Camp Mission | 
Our mission at Good Counsel Basketball Camp is to encourage and assist growth in our campers through the game of basketball. Our coaches place an emphasis on individual skill development, which includes training in shooting form, ball handling, passing and offensive moves. We also stress training in defensive principles, rebounding, and conditioning, as well as the importance of citizenship and team building. Participants will practice these fundamentals daily during skill stations and full court games.

  • GC alumnus GJ Kissal has 21 years of high school and college coaching experience. He previously coached at Good Counsel for five years, as well as coaching at Catholic University, McNamara High School, The Bullis School, Rockville High School. and Claksburg High School. Teams that Coach Kissal has led have won 2 Maryland State 4A West Sectional Championships, become 2-time Maryland State 4A West Regional Finalists, Won MD State Playoff games for 3 consecutive years, won 2001 NCAA Division III National Championship, won 2001 & 2002 CAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, were ranked #5 in USA Today Super 25, and were ranked #1 in Washington Post.Questions? Contact Coach Kissal at gkissal@olgchs.org.
